Chimera FTSE ADX 15 ETF: A Gateway to Abu Dhabi’s Blue-Chip Growth Story

The Chimera FTSE ADX 15 ETF Income (CHADX15) offers investors a single-ticker gateway to the companies that sit at the heart of Abu Dhabi’s economic expansion. By tracking the FTSE ADX 15 Index, the ETF provides exposure to the exchange’s largest and most actively traded names, capturing the core of Abu Dhabi’s corporate leadership in a transparent, on-exchange structure.

Rather than attempting to mirror the entire market, CHADX15 is designed to reflect where scale, liquidity and leadership already reside on ADX. For GCC investors, it functions as a practical way to participate in Abu Dhabi’s growth through its most established listed champions across conglomerates, banking, telecommunications and financial services.

Fund Overview: What CHADX15 Is Designed to Do

The Chimera FTSE ADX 15 ETF tracks the FTSE ADX 15 Index, which selects the 15 largest and most liquid companies listed on ADX using free-float-adjusted market capitalisation and trading activity screens. The index is reviewed and rebalanced on a semi-annual basis to ensure it continues to represent the market’s leading names.

For investors, the proposition is clear: direct, liquid access to Abu Dhabi’s most important listed companies, traded locally in AED and settled on ADX.

The Companies Powering Abu Dhabi’s Market

The FTSE ADX 15 Index is built around companies that play a central role in Abu Dhabi’s economy. These firms are among the exchange’s most actively traded, supporting consistent liquidity and efficient price discovery.

Leading Constituents (As of 2025-12-16)

Together with the rest of the index’s constituents, these companies form a portfolio that reflects the scale, ambition and diversification of Abu Dhabi’s listed economy.

Where Abu Dhabi’s Listed Champions Meet Global Capital

Abu Dhabi’s prominence on the world financial stage was on full display at Abu Dhabi Finance Week (ADFW) 2025, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and bringing together CEOs, sovereign investors, policymakers and asset managers from around the globe.

The four-day event was themed “Engineering the Capital Network” convened more than 750 global speakers and leaders overseeing over USD 62 trillion in assets, with discussions ranging from the future of asset allocation and AI in finance to sustainability and digital asset innovation, reinforcing the emirate’s strategic ambition as a hub for capital flows and investment leadership.

Such convergence of global financial minds highlights the broader ecosystem in which ADX’s leading companies operate, and underscores how the constituents of the FTSE ADX 15 Index and by extension the Chimera FTSE ADX 15 ETF are participating in conversations shaping capital markets far beyond the Gulf.

Why These Companies Matter to Investors

International Holding Company (IHC) represents Abu Dhabi’s ability to build globally relevant corporate platforms across multiple sectors. Its scale and diversification highlight the emirate’s evolving role as a capital allocator and business builder.

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) anchor the ETF’s exposure to the UAE’s financial system, reflecting the depth, stability and regional importance of Abu Dhabi’s banking sector in supporting economic growth.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) adds Islamic banking exposure, underscoring the role of Sharia-based finance within the local financial ecosystem and its contribution to long-term capital formation.

e& (Etisalat by e&) provides exposure to telecommunications, digital infrastructure and international expansion, capturing both defensive cash-flow characteristics and growth through technology and connectivity.

Collectively, these companies represent the institutional backbone of Abu Dhabi’s economy, spanning finance, infrastructure, digital services and diversified investment activity.

What the ETF Gets Right

CHADX15 is built around liquidity, transparency and access. Its constituents are among the most actively traded stocks on ADX, supporting robust price discovery and smooth execution. The ETF offers clear exposure to Abu Dhabi’s corporate leaders, allowing investors to understand precisely which companies are driving returns. Trading on exchange in AED with local settlement further simplifies portfolio operations for GCC-based investors while maintaining direct exposure to the emirate’s largest listed names.

A Practical Way to Participate in Abu Dhabi’s Growth

The Chimera FTSE ADX 15 ETF is best viewed as a core Abu Dhabi allocation, offering investors a straightforward way to participate in the performance of the emirate’s most influential companies. It reflects how Abu Dhabi’s capital markets have evolved: deeper, more liquid and increasingly relevant to regional and global investors.

For those seeking exposure to Abu Dhabi’s economic trajectory through its flagship listed corporates, CHADX15 provides a clear, locally traded and institutionally grounded solution within the ADX ecosystem.
