A US-domiciled exchange-traded fund designed to track , and over a complete market cycle, outperform , the IHS Markit Global Carbon Index, before fees and expenses. The index measures the performance of the most liquid carbon credit futures contracts across major cap-and-trade programmes, including the European Union Emissions Trading System (EU ETS), the California Carbon Allowances (CCA) market, and the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI). The fund provides investors with exposure to the price of carbon allowances, which are increasingly viewed as an emerging institutional asset class tied to climate policy.
